Favourites

It is difficult to say who are the main contenders for victory at this stage. The last major climb may be too far from the finish line to serve as a place to put in a decisive attack for the victory scene. However, the course is normally too heavy for some sprinters. Possibly this stage, therefore, was won by a sprinter who can climb pretty well and therefore without much effort has been expended climbs of the day.
Only in terms of the way, this tour also best suited for a group of attackers, but as this stage, quite early roster of Vuelta in 2014, an aviation group, the rate is likely to be very controlled and will not have much chance to get it to the end. The ride is similar course as well in comparison with, for example, the stage ended in Cordoba in 2009, when Lars Boom won. That day, the attacks have been a successful tactic, but in this context it should be noted that when the fifteenth stage and at this stage of a Grand Tour attackers usually get more space than in the early stages of a Grand Tour.
